Introduction to Order Tracking


Order tracking is an exclusive feature of our product that connects with Shopify's backend and logistics companies (eg.17track). This feature allows customers who place an order in your store to track the status of their order in real time with the VanChat.

When to Use Order Tracking?


Anytime! Your customer can trigger this feature in conversations with Chatbot by a single sentence containing an order tracking intent. VanChat is linked to the Shopify backend, so our product can track the packages in the order as long as the customer's purchase history is searchable in Shopify!

Order Tracking Step-by-Step Guide


  1. Tell VanChat your intentions:

Simply say "Order Tracking" or "I want to track my order" to the Chatbot, and it will recognize the request to track orders.Also, you can enable a Floating Button in Knowledge Base > Store & Products > Order Tracking, which shows up in the chat window and can also help customers check their order status. This button doesn't impact Order Tracking feature because Order Tracking is always active.

The floating button enhances the visibility and convenience of the Order Tracking feature for a seamless user experience.

  1. Email Entry:
  • Customer enters their email address used during the purchase.

  1. View Active Orders:
  • A list of active orders (with main information) is displayed with the option to track each one.

  1. Order Statuses:
  • Orders can be in one of the following statuses:
    • Shipment Pending: The order is being prepared for shipment.
    • In Transit: The order is on its way to the delivery address.
    • Out for Delivery: The order is out for final delivery.
    • Delivered: The order has been successfully delivered.
    • Failure: There was an issue with the delivery.


  1. Tracking Details:
  • Click "Track" next to an order to view detailed shipping information.

  • Scenario 1: If orders are delivered within the last 14 days:

  1. Viewing Delivered Orders:
  • Click "Delivered" to view delivered orders.
